Mercedes-Benz has proved that 2018 S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet will be released at the September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
As the design of the facelifted S-Class sedan, the new S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet will present some visual updates but the most important change remains the collection of technology upgrades that intends to place the flagship Mercedes sedan besides the 7-Series and all-new A8.
In addition, it will be equipped with new engines, such as a new Biturbo V8 found in the S560 sedan and providing 469 PS and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) torque. It is good to know that both S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models will receive a large group of other petrol and diesel-driven versions, such as 3.0-liter inline-six diesel that provides either 286 PS and 600 Nm or 340 PS and 700 Nm, depending on its spec.
A significant upgrade is a newly developed version of Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive. It integrates higher functions like DISTRONIC Active Proximity Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Traffic Sign Assist and Active Steer Assist. It also has a Remote Parking Assist function like the 7-Series and A8.
