Hyundai i30 Fastback has finally debuted and it comes with a high spoiler line a sloping roof line, and a prominent C-pillar design.
Hyundai designer Thomas Burkle has stated that the model is luxurious and sophisticated at the same time, while Hyundai Europe COO, Thomas A. Schmid has mentioned that the fastback is a luxurious car that will define the lineup. The roof is now lower by 25 mm (0.98 in) and it comes with a better aerodynamics.
The company has worked on Hyundai i30 Fastback’s design and has made the vehicle wider by making the Cascading Grille’s height at the front smaller. The car also features headlamps with a dark bezel around the front fascia and full LED Daytime Running Lights.
Hyundai i30 Fastback’s exterior is marked by rear lights, arched rear spoiler, and C-pillar and the rear windscreen.
The car is also remarkable for the various safety systems like Driver Attention Alert, High Beam Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear-Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), Speed Limit Information Function (SLIF), and Lane Keeping Assist. Besides this, there are also some additional systems such as pedestrian recognition system.
i30 Fastback provides an extra 8″ touch screen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, speed cameras, a free seven-year subscription to LIVE services, and a wireless charging system for smartphones with the Qi standard.
Hyundai i30 Fastback is powered by two downsized turbocharged petrol engines you can choose – a 1.4 T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder motor with 140 PS, or a 1.0 T-GDI turbocharged 3-cylinder motor with 120 PS. You can opt for a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual clutch automatic for the first engine and the second comes with a six-speed manual.
The model will arrive in Europe at the end of 2017 or 2018.
